Non-Emergency Transport Only
We provide non-emergency stretcher transportation for medically stable patients. We do not provide emergency response, paramedic services, ALS/BLS care, or clinical monitoring during transport. If a patient requires emergency care or continuous medical intervention, please call 911 for an ambulance.

Advanced Illness & Hospice
Patients with advanced cancer, heart failure, or other serious illness who are too weak or fragile to sit upright for transport.

Patients with wounds, pressure injuries, or skin grafts that require flat positioning to prevent damage during transport.

Patients being discharged from acute care who are not yet strong enough to sit in a standard wheelchair for the trip home.
The Process
What to Expect from Stretcher Transport
Book with Clinical Detail
Call 720-210-0058 and describe the patient's condition, positioning requirements, and any equipment they travel with. We confirm compatibility and assign the right crew.
Two-Person Crew Arrives
Stretcher transport requires two trained crew members for safe loading and unloading. Our crew arrives with the stretcher and all necessary securing equipment.
Safe Transfer & Loading
We transfer the patient from their bed or wheelchair to our stretcher using proper technique. The stretcher is secured in our vehicle with certified restraint systems.
Smooth, Monitored Transport
Our driver maintains smooth acceleration and braking throughout the trip. A crew member stays with the patient during transport.
Safe Unloading & Transfer
At the destination, we unload the patient and transfer them to their bed, chair, or the facility's care team. We do not leave until the patient is safely settled.

Who needs stretcher transportation?
Stretcher transport is for patients who cannot sit upright for the duration of a trip. Is stretcher transportation the same as an ambulance?
No. Stretcher transport is non-emergency medical transportation — it is for patients who are medically stable but cannot sit upright. We do not provide emergency response, paramedic services, or ALS/BLS care. If a patient requires emergency care or continuous medical monitoring during transport, they need an ambulance.
How do I book stretcher transportation?
Call 720-210-0058. We will ask about the patient's condition, positioning requirements, origin and destination, and any medical equipment they travel with. We recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance; for hospital discharges, call as soon as you have a discharge date.
Can a family member or caregiver ride along?
Yes. A family member or caregiver can ride in our vehicle with the patient. Let us know when booking so we can confirm seating.
Do you transport patients on oxygen or with IV lines?
We can transport patients on portable oxygen. We do not manage active IV lines or provide clinical care during transport. If a patient requires clinical monitoring or intervention during transport, they need a medical transport service with clinical staff.
Can you transport stretcher patients to DIA?
Yes. We provide stretcher transport to Denver International Airport. This requires advance coordination with the airline's special assistance team. We recommend booking at least 72 hours in advance for stretcher transport to DIA.
What is the cost of stretcher transportation?
Our standard rate is $7.50 per mile. Stretcher transport may have a higher base rate than wheelchair transport due to the specialized equipment and two-person crew required for safe loading. Call us for a quote specific to your trip.
