Hospital Discharge Transportation

Safe Discharge Transport — From Bedside to Home

Hospital discharge is one of the most vulnerable moments in a patient's care journey. We provide bedside pickup, care team coordination, and safe wheelchair or stretcher transport — so the transition from hospital to home is as smooth as the care that came before it.

Why It Matters

Discharge Transport Is Not a Taxi Ride

A patient leaving the hospital after surgery, a stroke, or a serious illness is not ready for a standard rideshare. They may be in a wheelchair, on a stretcher, medicated, disoriented, or simply too weak to manage a normal vehicle. The wrong transport at discharge can undo days of clinical care.

Our drivers are trained in patient assist, safe transfer technique, and the specific discharge procedures at every major Denver hospital. We work with your care team — not around them.

Bedside Pickup

Our driver comes to the patient's room. We coordinate with nursing staff for a safe transfer — no waiting at the curb.

Care Team Coordination

We work directly with discharge planners, case managers, and social workers to align timing and documentation.

Wheelchair & Stretcher

Post-surgical patients, stroke patients, and non-ambulatory patients all transported safely with certified equipment.

We serve every major hospital in the Denver metro — UCHealth, Denver Health, Swedish, Rose, St. Anthony, and more.

Common Questions

Hospital Discharge Transport FAQ

How do I arrange hospital discharge transportation?

Call 720-210-0058 as soon as you know the discharge date and time. We coordinate directly with the hospital's discharge planning team. For same-day discharge, call us as early as possible — we will do our best to accommodate.

Can you pick up a patient directly from their hospital room?

Yes. We provide bedside pickup — our driver comes to the patient's room, assists with transfer to our wheelchair or stretcher, and escorts the patient to our vehicle. We coordinate with nursing staff to ensure a safe, smooth transfer.

What if the discharge time changes?

Discharge times change constantly — we know. Call us as soon as you have an updated time. We build flexibility into our discharge pickups and will adjust as needed.

Can you transport a patient who just had surgery?

Yes. Post-surgical patients are one of our most common discharge transport cases. We handle patients in wheelchairs, patients who cannot bear weight, and patients on stretchers. Tell us about the patient's condition and mobility when booking.

Do you transport patients to skilled nursing facilities or rehab centers?

Yes. Many of our discharge transports go to skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, and long-term care facilities rather than home. We serve all destinations.

Can a family member ride along?

Yes. A family member or caregiver can ride in our vehicle with the patient. Let us know when booking so we can confirm seating.

Do you work with hospital discharge planners and case managers?

Yes. We work directly with discharge planners, case managers, and social workers. If you are a healthcare professional arranging transport for a patient, call us at 720-210-0058 or ask about our Facility Partner Program for streamlined coordination.

Don't Let Transportation Be the Last Obstacle
